This recall involves a no name battery pack and battery charger. The battery pack is black, bears a counterfeit Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification mark and a label with warnings and product rating information. The battery charger is black, bears a counterfeit UL certification mark, model number USC7.2-12-0918 and product rating information.
Hazard identified
The battery pack bears a counterfeit UL certification mark for the United States and the battery charger bears a UL certification mark for the United States and Canada. Neither the battery pack nor the battery charger comply with UL’s safety requirements and may pose a fire or shock hazard.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these battery packs and battery chargers.
