Description of content: KATS proposes amending rules to prevent energy storage system fires. In these amendments, batteries used in energy storage systems shall be certified with KC certification. Specifically, secondary lithium battery cells are specified a product subject to the KC Safety Certification and secondary lithium battery systems are specified a product subject to the KC Safety Verification.
