Description of content: The notified Technical Regulation establishes the requirements to be met by lead-acid batteries for motor vehicles, prior to the marketing of domestic and imported products, with the aim of protecting human safety and the environment, and preventing misleading practices.
It applies to the following products:
· Lead-acid batteries for vehicles with four or more wheels;
· Lead-acid batteries for motorcycles, tricycles and quadricycles (including quad bikes).
The notified Technical Regulation does not apply to:
· Lead-acid batteries incorporated into motor vehicles.
