PS:206-1 (2nd Revision) is applicable to lead-acid batteries with nominal voltage of 12V used primarily as a power source for the starting of internal combustion engines, lighting and for auxiliary equipment of internal combustion engine vehicles. These batteries are commonly called "Starter Batteries".
PS:206-1 (2nd Revision) - The object of this standard is to defined Pakistan Standard for several groups of starter batteries:

This standard specifies:

<!--[if !supportLists]-->� <!--[endif]-->according to the general type of application;
<!--[if !supportLists]-->� <!--[endif]-->according to the type product.
This standard is not applicable to batteries for other purposes, such as starting of railcar, internal combustion engines.
PS:206-2 (2nd Revision) is applicable to lead-acid batteries used for starting, lighting and ignition of passenger cars and light vehicles with a nominal voltage of 12V. Batteries in accordance with this standard can be fastened to the vehicles either by means of ledges around the container or by means of a hold down device engaging with a lid.
PS:206-2 (2nd Revision) � The object of the present standard is to specify:

<!--[if !supportLists]-->� <!--[endif]-->the main dimensions and design of the Semi Lid (SL);
<!--[if !supportLists]-->� <!--[endif]-->the top clamping area (M) for fastening on the upper part.
This standard covers battery sizes of the geographical regions Europe, East Asia and North America.
